...i need to know EVERYTHING about this movie’s shooting and editing and scoring process NOW
to me, this story is an irony on masculinity and patriarchy and capitalism/consumerism but mostly the former. from the lack of a father figure in a child’s life to a patriarchal society’s expectations for males, men, raised while steeped in that environment, goes on to damage their own lives and eventually inflict the harm back to the world. the note on collectivism (the loss of individuality) is chilling, im a bit confused on the romance part though. but! this is a great film and i totally see why it’s a modern classic. enjoyed it a lot.
