reviewed from my letterboxd.

sobbed my eyes out needless to say (especially at that line that genius callback). i liked that near the end when tessa started her statement the shot included the theatre audience. stage and production were very on point and well-executed thanks to the crew and THE JODIE COMER. her performance hijacked my entire brain. the way tessa was scrutinized and humiliated by literally being under the spotlight instead of the rapist shows exactly how broken the judicial system is — impersonal, mechanical, detached and most of all unjust. the power shift was heartbreaking. and 782 days.
can’t recommend to see this enough.
