這才是玩攝影的最高境界吧,《天堂之日》以詩意的鏡頭捕捉美國西部大草原的美,晨起麥穗的露水,夜色暗湧的篝火晚會,随口琴而起的踢踏舞,甚至用延時攝影拍一顆種子的發芽,拍肆虐的蝗蟲和地獄般混亂的火災。

本可以制造無數劇情爆點的三角戀完全成了典雅自然美的點綴,印象最深刻的是女主和農場主在室内的對話(三角戀的背景是女主和男主四處遊蕩做牛馬,實則是情人但對外說宣稱兄妹,農場主愛上了女主與之結為連理,但女主仍和男主恩愛有加,農場主隐隐約約察覺到了異常,于是發生了以下對話)

You know what I thought when I first saw you? I thought,“ If only I could touch her, Then everything'd be all right.” You make me feel like I 've come back to life .Isn't that funny?I always thought that being alone wasjust something that a man had to put up with. It waslike I just got used to it. Sometimes it's like…… You're right inside of me you know…… like I can hear your voiceand feel you breathe and everything.

女主聽完後起身關門

Why are you so uneasy with me?

I am sorry

I don't blame you. Did I make it sound like that?

You have a right to.

It's just thatit seems like I don't know you

這一段對話拍得非常好,明顯能感受到農場主的試探和真心,擔憂,女主的愧疚。(建議看原片)
然後是一段空鏡:早晨的風吹亂了河流上的浮萍。

後來一查幕後故事,原來馬力克是哲學出身,我說電影怎麼一股不食人間煙火氣的感覺

同樣哲學出身的還有樸贊郁,我越來越好奇他的《老男孩》到底是真實故事改編還是虛構了……
以及韋斯安德森,糖果色的色調以及對稱構圖一度讓我以為他和大衛芬奇一樣是幹MTV導演轉行的

然後聯想到了《巴裡林登》《霓虹惡魔》的攝影,古典油畫般美和極緻的單色LED光。
