過去三十年美國獨立電影能成就Jim Jarmusch,卻又近乎遺棄Hal Hartley,這種遺憾大概也是我們時代消費主義本性又一症候。抛開趣味和觀念設定這些不甚高明的東西不談,Hal在其長島三部曲中以如此風格化情景劇式的編排所建構出的人物情感,卻最終在觀衆端達成了如此真摯的流動性。這樣天才動人瞬間,我可能在賈木許電影裡連一秒鐘都沒感受到過。
