Ben Platt is officially one of the 3 villains of broadway alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda and James Corden. Went with very low expectations and fairly enjoyed this movie, as in I did not fall asleep and liked some of the songs. But it’s unbelievable how mental illness is portrayed in 2021, “keeping holding on and u will be fine???” And why is that Nik kid always playing the South Asian sidekick character? Why is Ben Platt playing a teenager looking like 35? So many questions bye. I wouldn’t suggest watching this in the theater if you had better stuff to see :)
