First of all,I like the pun of the movie title.The movie tells a simple stroy bout a normal gir, Ana,who gets upgraded on her flight,and this flight changes her life.It sounds a little bit cliché,but for me,I will give a high compliment as a chick flick.Here are the reasons:
As a chick flick,the movie’s plot are very reasonable and logical.I will give it 4/5 star for this point.In chick flicks it has a severe problem is the plot get very ridiculous at the most of the time.But in this movie,every steps seems to reasonable,and it gives me a desire to continue watching it.When Ana gets the job promotion,it’s not just because she is lucky but also due to her working abilities.Yes,she is lucky,but not by chance.She has the potential, which why she can found the printing mistake and she’s well-understanding of those paintings let she got the opportunity to work for Claire.At the end of the story she makes Claire to stay,it shows that Ana make very clear with the pros and cons,meaning she has a outstanding working skills.
Second,the character’s personalities are both lively and attractive.Ana was a normal girl who didn’t have chance to live her dream life.So,when she gets the upgraded,she lies to William and gets lost in the luxury life she has never experienced before.But when everything is revealed,she immediately confesses to others and shows her apology.We know that no one is perfect.The most important things is to realize when you done something wrong,try to fix it.I like Ana’s sincerity and the way she treats people.Her personality is simple but not boring.Also,Ana didnt fire Claire,showing that she understands the boundary between personal and work life.
Finally, I appreciate how the romantic storyline and other plot elements are evenly balanced in this movie.When it comes to chick flicks,the writers always want to emphasize the romantic plot, making other parts of the story feel unbelievable and ridiculous,with people blindly focused on love.But this movie really achieves a balanced in the whole storyline.Ana enjoys the date with William but still excels in her job.Without dramas,the audiences can feel the romance in those plot.Because of that,I think this movie is better than other flim in the same genre.I think it also show some feminism elements in this movie such as women are supporting each other in the workplace.The develop in this movie is rational.
