他是一個音樂天才,生于船長于船,屬于船。琴鍵與音符是他對這個世界最純粹和自由的表達,他們彼此成就,和諧共生。尤之于魚和水,水與魚。

他愛上過一個女孩兒,如同情窦初開的所有年輕人一樣,怦然心動,憧憬,夢想,行動,執着的尋找,甚至在她熟睡中親吻了她;他想送她他那唯一的一張唱片,可怯懦,下雨,猶豫,最終被湧來的人分開,離散,永别。盡管女孩兒臨别前告訴了他地址,他有了一切重新開始的想法,并付諸于行動,他和生他養他的船上的所有人告别,他的好朋友還送了他漂亮的駝絨大衣,他整裝出發,做好了一切要離開的準備,可最終止步于船舷中央

Land? Land is a ship too big for me. It's a woman too beautiful; it's a voyage too long, a perfume too strong. It's a music I don't know how to make. I could never get off this ship. At best, I can step off my life. After all, I don't exist for anyone. You're an exception, Max, you're the only one who knows I'm here. You're a minority, and you better get used to it. 他不會下船的,他的生命屬于那所船。

這就是天才的思維,天才的想法,天才才會做的事,他是凡間的精靈,他不屬于這個俗世。他可以在有限的琴鍵上用表達音樂的無限性,而不願意也不能被一人一房一田去局限;他依附于那一艘一次搭載2000人的有限的船,而不能融入到看不到盡頭的有太多選擇的無限的城市,街道,這是他――天才的“1900”的超然人生。

生于厮,長于厮,生生世世,為之而生,生而為之。足矣。
