The male-dominated ideology exploits women’s bodies while simultaneously using morality to crush them into the dust. You can only choose to be either a lofty saint or a fallen whore. And once you choose to descend, you are simultaneously consumed, exploited, and despised.

Patriarchy is also internalized among women: a former teammate mocks a failing companion to reinforce her own psychological identity, while the relationship between the manager and Mima resembles that of mother and daughter. Patriarchal society demands female compliance, and within this system, the mother becomes an agent reproducing patriarchy, disciplining generation after generation of women to obey and reinforce patriarchal thinking. Through this “maternal” form, patriarchy penetrates even deeper into women’s inner lives, further shaping their anxiety and fragmentation.

In a society saturated with the male gaze, a woman’s “reality” may never truly be her own; it is merely another constructed script, made for others to watch.
