淡淡的故事。没有《燃情岁月》如此丰富的故事性，也没有《大鱼》中结尾将一个意象升华的那种震撼。它是淡淡的，平静的，就像那条大河，波光粼粼，承载着一个家庭的美好记忆。哥哥的独白贯穿全片，这种电影手法最近见的太多了。
