首先别被片名騙到，這片子和音樂大拿威爾第沒有半毛錢着麼！就是警探版印裔在英國（男主哈利•威爾第還是蠻帥哒，沒有典型印度人的外形哦），劇集一開始的追擊匪徒以及後面印裔豪華婚禮（高種姓女人穿着閃閃、絲綢剪裁合體精緻的華服非常賞心悅目）還是很抓眼球的。
這劇還是可以當成八卦窺見這一族群在英倫的生存狀态：比如主角哈利•威爾第因與穆斯林女子賽瑪結婚，遭到身為錫克教徒的父親的排斥。在錫克教和穆斯林社區的諸多互動場景裡，從節日拜訪時的微妙氣氛，到婚禮聚會上的暗流湧動，都展現出傳統價值觀與個人自由追求之間的矛盾。
