第二季始于葬禮；電視裡瘋狂男子命令人們“Kill all lawyers!“；Trump頻頻出現在電視 上，今天領養将軍肚小豬，明天要帶五隻羊（five goals）去參加國際會議。有人被槍擊，有人拆開信封發現了神秘的白色粉末。整季充斥着死亡威脅和、彈劾、種族紛争和對移民政策的批評，這一季最大的反派就應該是Trump了吧。戴安前半季遊離在醉生夢死的狀态裡，沒有戰鬥的欲望，而一個法官還要求她多笑笑。

新律所的合夥人Barbara上季一直沒有亮點，似乎連庭審都沒有參與過。這季早早出局，相比之下，Boseman這個角色寫得極精彩，演得也好，表情、動作、台詞表達，金剛怒目，很有激情。調查員Jay撲克臉一張，與Marrisa是互補的性格。盧卡從TGW時期就很喜歡了，與Colin的化學反應和小吵小鬧都是本劇的輕松時刻。

第十三集 Day 492
本集戴安發現自己被監視，疑神疑鬼；盧卡生娃，親媽與準婆婆劍拔弩張，提到的《逃出絕命鎮》（Get Out）和《黑豹》都是經典黑人電影。但這集的重點是緻敬水門事件有關電影《總統班底》。本集與All the President's Men的相同點有：
...都以打字機打字開場，聲音極響。
......《總統班底》裡羅伯特-雷德福扮演的記者伍德沃德與線人Deep throat的聯絡暗号是陽台上的一面小紅旗；本集用了一盆花。

.........一輛車快速駛離，引開了伍德沃德/戴安的注意力，再回過頭來，深喉已經不在。《總統班底》拍得心情，而本集添加了喜劇一幕，提供消息的人再次出現：我的車在這邊。之前戴安直接問線人是不是深喉，引發了線人的誤會。
第八集 Day 457
...《白宮西翼》（The West Wing，1999）的彩蛋。同框的兩位都演過Jed Bartlet的副總統，Tully（Tim Matheson）演VP John Hoynes，Kurt McVeigh（Gary Cole）演VP Bob Russell。塔利問科特：Do I know you？科特回答：I don't think so。笑死。

...本集虛構的演員Kip Dunning聽上去很像湯姆-漢克斯，”全世界最好的演員“什麼的，隻不過他沒有卷入到MeToo醜聞過。漢克斯在情景喜劇《親密夥伴》（Bosom Buddies，1980）中的角色就叫Kip，《親密夥伴》中湯姆-漢克斯與Peter Scolari合作。
