Elio Vittorini的文字,讲的是战后一群工人和农民在托斯卡纳山里建起了一个合作社,社员们以日记形式讲述他们的经历。工人与农民之间关于冬天该劳作还是休息等问题的分歧、男女青年之间的感情纷争与和解、有人逃跑了有人逃走后又跑回来 ...
7.3/10。①二战后意大利一群工人/农民男女集中资源经营一集体农庄过程中的各种合作、困境、矛盾。②声音上是各种抑扬顿挫颇具音乐性的念白,画面上要么是各种剧情扮演要么是用法常规但颇有味道的空镜头。③施特劳布夫妇以大量原地不动(有时会肢体运动)的角色表演(以及角色们克制的表演模式)塑造庄严感(正如故事主题的严肃性),以极简的置景和干净简约的摄影美术营造一种更纯粹的情绪感受与精神体验(同质于《词语》),并在这些形式的基础上以较舒适的音响和②所说的念白方式为影像提供最主要的情绪魅力与诗意。④影像上的情绪冲击力不够强(冲击力比《摩西与亚伦》轻);几段演员明目张胆读稿(稿子在画面内可见)是缺乏影像意义的间离,是败笔。

战后一群工人和农民在托斯卡纳山里建起了一个合作社,社员们以日记形式讲述他们的经历:工人与农民之间关于冬天该劳作还是休息等问题的分歧、两个男青年因为一个女青年打起来、有人逃跑了有人逃走后又跑回来还带来了物资、随着冬去春来合作社又从危机走向兴旺……全片在树林间拍摄,以林间绿色风景的360度镜头开头,结尾又是一个远景固定镜头。中间就还是斯特劳布/于耶最经典的挨个念台词,但这部里就很极致:演员念台词时经常看稿,有时就直接是先拿起本子打开来然后才开始念。除此之外故事本身有些细节还挺有意思:年轻人谈恋爱并在恋爱和劳动中获得成长、农民讲怎么做Ricotta的种种细节、关于开着卡车去山上砍桂树带回来种的几个不同版本的讲述……以及,有一个西西里来的姑娘抱怨说,北方没有面包只有polenta!
好像是唯一一次S-H的电影里同时出现了变焦镜头和横摇镜头。因为存在工人和农民两个群体,当一个群体的朗读完毕切换至另一个就zoom out加横摇至另一个,群体内部仍然是福特式剪辑。不得不说,S-H的从福特那里学来的剪辑功力无论从音乐性还是功能性来说都毫不逊色于福特自身。
