The plot moves forward way too quickly. In each episode, challenges arise at first but are resolved almost immediately. For example , when Bella develops feelings for Arvin, he quickly breaks up with his girlfriend. Similarly, when Kimberly pulls out an inappropriate anal toy and runs away, her boyfriend immediately forgives and comforts her. There’s a lack of deep reflection on the characters’ problems and the solutions feel shallow and boring.
I can’t accept that Bella is suddenly portrayed as bisexual. There wasn’t a single hint of this in the first two seasons.
The new girl is awful. She constantly stares at the camera when acting, and her facial expressions and body language feel unnatural. Also, what’s the point of her character? She’s overly controlled by her mom, doesn’t seem to know what she wants, looks unattractive, and is overly focused on her boyfriend.
Additionally, the family meeting, which was a highlight in past seasons, feels dull this year. Without the conflict between Leighton’s dad and Whitney’s mom, th scene lacks meaningful dialogue. I also don’t understand how Whitney’s dad suddenly becomes a good man without any real buildup or explanation.
Just some random thoughts-I didn’t enjoy every episode of this season.
