today that is not so much strange to find a different background marriage, cause nowadays there are too many these kind of couples, so the part between Mr.Ma and Mrs. Windur’ s relationship can not absorb me much. In addition this part’s speed is quite slowly—maybe it could be interesting for last century"s audience, but not enough for today’s.
Mr.Ma's character is truely representative at that time, Mr.Ma has so many disadvantages in his personality, but to some extent he is lovely, anyway especially the first part of this TV show really made me miss my hometown.
another point that I want to point is we cannot find how good is Mr.Ma’s English skills only by this show but not novel, maybe just so so, in the modern time I more want to discuss the beauty of English or the scholar’ situation in the UK, but Mr.Ma just is a normal people, we can not find some experience of this.
